New Boots for Christmas

We bought Ann Rogers a pair of Hello Kitty boots for Christmas. I did not know what she would think about them, but she LOVES them! It took her a little while to get use to walking in them, but she cried when we took them off. They are adorable! You will see two outfits because she fell and got wet. She pitched a fit! We quickly changed and went back outside to keep playing in the boots.

Christmas Night

After we woke up and saw what Santa brought, we packed up and headed to MS for Christmas with my family. It is just a few of us, but there is always a lot of action. AR has two boy cousins and they adore her. I have a feeling she is going to learn how to be tough from them. She loves Wade and Perry!
AR licking her shopping cart. The sad thing is she tries to do this to the real shopping cart. YUCK!
My nephew Perry and the mess he made. See the picture of Jim below when the trash was all in the bag. :-)

My nephew Wade. He is 7 now...so sad!
Perry again before he dumped the trash. so cute!

The trash neatly in the bag.

Nannee and Granddaddy

AR actually plays with this present. She has been in the ball pit for a week. She absolutely loves it and loves to peek out the holes on the side.

Christmas Morning

I am trying to catch up on all my Christmas activities. Here a few pictures from Christmas morning. It was just the three of us at our house. Ann Rogers was not aware of the Santa idea, but she did love the new toys that appeared overnight! :-)

Waiting on us to get her out of bed. I had to take a picture first.
Spotting all of the new toys left by Santa.
She went to the kitchen right away. I think this will be her favorite toy.

Turning the kitchen light off and on over and over again. She loves light switches.

The new Tigger and Pooh tricycle. It has a handle for us to push until she is old enough to peddle herself.

Christmas Eve

Jim, Ann Rogers, and I spent Christmas Eve with the Crowder side of the family. We went to the 5:00 p.m. church service and it was beautiful. I love when we light the candles and sing Silent Night! AR did pretty well and church and was precious in her dress. We went back to Memaw and Papaw's house to eat dinner and open presents. AR loved spending time with all of her Aunt, Uncles, and Cousins!
She is modeling her Christmas dress. PaPaw with his two granddaughters.

Our family photo...AR is telling you how old she is.

She was not interested in opening gifts at all! She just walked around with the bags and played.

Granddaddy Joins the Church

Yesterday was a special day in our family. My sweet daddy joined the Catholic church I grew up in. He has been going every Sunday since we were born, but he just never joined. He grew up Baptist. 34 years later he decided to join, it was wonderful! I know my mom is still smiling. My Dad did not want a big deal made, so we were not allowed to doing anything out of the ordinary. I am so proud of him. He does not like doing things in public and I know it was not easy to get up in front of the church. I am glad I was there to see it. We love you Granddaddy!

Lunch on the Go!

Ann Rogers and I were on the way back to AL from MS today. It was getting past her lunch time, but I didn't want to take the time to stop and eat a sit down meal in small town AL by ourselves. We grabbed a subway and I crossed my fingers that it would work. She loves turkey and cheese and usually wants to hold it all by herself. At home that is fine with me, but I was nervous in the car. She did great! She ate the whole sandwhich and did not make a mess at all. Baby girl is growing up! Below she will show you how to eat a subway in the car.

First, you use both hands to take a big bite.
Next, you pause to smile for the camera....

and if you need to take a break just rest the sandwhich on your shoulder. (she laid it there for about 5 minutes and then just picked it back up and finished.) :-)

Random pictures from this past month

I have a ton of pictures on my camera that I just downloaded. These are all from different days and nothing really important. I just thought I would share a few photos of the little girl. She is 15 months old this week! She is getting more fun each day and makes us laugh all the time. She can say "mama, dada, side (outside), ball, and a couple of other words. She loves to say "Shhhh" and stick her finger on her nose instead of her mouth. Her Papaw taught her to say how old she is...she sticks that finger up so fast when you ask her. It is so cute! She has also started pointing to her bed a night. She is not wanting me to read her a book. She points to her bed to get in it. So much for our bonding time. What a little stinker!

Our guess our photo shoot was over...she wanted inside!
Showing her mouth full of teeth

This is the step down at my parents house. She has not figured it out. She stands there and thinks about her next move.

She LOVES her baby dolls. She always give them hugs and kisses.

Every child has to have the spaghetti eating photo!

Trying to get a good photo

Mom and I tried to take a cute Christmas card photo while I was home for Thanksgiving. I think I have finally picked one out. Below are just a few pictures we took that night. She ended up having a bad stomach bug that weekend, so I think that is why we didn't get many smiles. That or she was tired of the camera flashing. :-)
