Just the Two of Us!

AR and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend to ourselves. Jim went to Oxford for the Ole Miss/Auburn baseball game. I CANNOT believe I let him go to my school without me. However, I had just started feeling better from a horrible case of strep and didn't want to get tired and feel crappy again. Also, Auburn swept Ole Miss, so I am REALLY glad I skipped this one.

AR and I headed to the country club for the 1st time of the season. We are very thankful that we have that pool as option. Thanks to my mother-in-law! We got there early in order to grab some chairs near the baby pool. Great plan, except AR did not like would have NOTHING to do with the water. She just wanted to sit on the edge the entire time with her bucket! It made it easier for me to relax while she played though. I did not have to worry about her being in the water. We had a fun day despite the lack of swimming. :-)

On Sunday, AR and I hit the backyard for some pool and sand table fun. I am happy to report that the pool I bought last year held up quiet well. We blew up again with no problem, so we are set for the summer. Now this water, she loved!!! Not scared at all and wanted to swim like a fish...go figure!
Nannee and Granddady gave AR the sand table. I am sure the fun of being new will wear off, but right now she LOVES it! We finished the day off with a visit to the park and blue ice cream! That is a post by itself coming soon. I had an absolute blast with her this weekend. I hope that we will become the best friends that my mom and I are now. I think we are well on way!

1st lake trip of the season

Jim, AR, and I headed to lake for the day Mother's Day weekend. It was a quick trip with just our little family. We decided that we love each other, but we need friends next time! :-) AR did GREAT. She loves the boat and rode all day with no trouble. The only small problem was the potty issue. This is our first time on the boat since she was potty trained. She would have nothing to do with getting in the water. No worries, I had a pull up in my bag and put one on her just case. Beeping the horn was her favorite part. That and eating lots of snacks! The weather was a little windy, but not as hot as it has been lately. We are looking forward to many more boat trips this summer....just with friends next time!

We took a few pictures before we left the house. It had been a while since I did pig tails and I love them!!!

She was bustin a move waiting on her Daddy to ge the boat!

"All the single ladies" It is her favorite song!

She actually wore her Dora life vest and didn't complain. Huge improvement from last year.

Driving the boat with Daddy...blowing the horn never got old.

33...yikes!!!

The older I get, birthdays are more painful! I truly forget how old I am sometimes and have to stop and think. However, I don't think I can forget 33. I am closer to 35 than 30 now.Yikes!!! Oh well...age is just a number and AR keeps me young. :-) My parents came to town on my birthday which is always a special treat. Mom and I got pedicures Friday night and shopped all day on Saturday. Jim and my Dad took care of AR so we could spend the day together. AR was very sweet on my birthday and very focused on getting cake and ice cream!
