GHK's Christmas Program
It is very hard some days to be a working Mom and miss out on some of the small things at AR's school. Thanksgiving lunch, ballet class, and etc...I feel guilty, but I know she has fun and is not the only child who doesn't have a parent at everything. When I saw the note about the Christmas program, I knew I had to be there for that. It was the day before Christmas break which is a crazy time to have a sub, but I am so glad I took off. The program was precious! AR is not shy and has no trouble performing. :-) The kids were all adorable and we had a small reception afterwards! I am very thankful for a principal who understands the importance of family and let me take off. It was a wonderful day!
We finally like Santa this year!
I did not have to worry about Santa pictures the past two years because she would have nothing to do with it. She was scared and absolutely did not want to go see him. This year she said, "I am four now, I am not scared anymore. I was only scared when I was three." And it was as easy as that. She walked right up to him, gave him a hug and told him what she wanted. It was the easiest experience ever! Somehow we beat the rush that day and had ZERO wait time. I waited until the last minute because I was dreading the experience, but I was pleasantly surprised! I think this picture is a keeper. :-)

Christmas Card Photo Shoot
While we were in MS for Thanksgiving, Mom and I took pictures for her Christmas cards. We didn't really plan on taking pictures so they are not dressed in their best. :-) The pictures were great though so Mom used them for her Christmas card.

Halloween 2011
Since we live on a very street and not really in a neighborhood, we usually go somewhere else to trick or treat. This year Jim, AR, and I went to spend Halloween with The Stricklands in their neighborhood. It is a very popular neighborhood and most houses go all out for Halloween. We enjoyed a fun night with friends and enjoyed the food Mindy cooked for us! Thanks Mindy! :-)
Bull Bottom Farms
AR and I went to MS the weekend before Halloween and went to Bull Bottom Farm with my family for Aubrey's 3rd birthday party. There was a lot of things to do and we had a blast. We had one small problem when AR wandered off to the hay maze without telling anyone. We found her in the middle crying because she couldn't find her way out. Somehow in the chaos she lost her boot. We couldn't find it anywhere! She had to go the rest of the night with just one boot.
