There is no place like home!

Ann Rogers and I went to see my family in MS this past weekend. I was homesick! It rained almost the entire time and she has a terrible cough, so we were not able to see any of our friends. I didn't want to make them sick. She sounds horrible, but thankfully doesn't feel bad. AR did get to play with her cousins. It is ok to make them sick. ha ha. :-) We missed Daddy, but I think he had a good time with the guys!
AR's photo session with Nannee. My mom LOVES to take pictures. I will be glad one day.
She always looks up instead of at the camera. I am not sure what is up there.

He almost got her mouth! :-)

They loved their matching cars, but AR is more interested in that diet coke.

This is how Perry says "cheese." Couldn't you just eat him up?!?

My nephews Wade and Perry. There were not suppose to be playing in the mud. They are stinkers, but I love them!!!

Royal Kingdom of Rubbish

Since Earth Day was on Tuesday, we had our students bring a piece of trash from home. We glued all of the trash together to make a castle. Yes, I know you have to use your imagination to see a castle, but the kids loved it. :-) We talked about the whole recycling deal and how trash can be turned into treasure.

Wild Day at the Zoo!

I have to admit that I get a little jealous when all my stay at home mom friends get to go the zoo on a week day. However, I got my zoo trip in this week. It was just with 21 1st graders. :-)
I was exhausted last night. Every bone in my body was hurting. We went through that zoo in record time. They had a blast and I will do anything to have a day out of the classroom.
One of my favorite students of all time. He is such a sweet and kind hearted kid. I wish I could have a room full of students like him!
She is a good student as well, just felt like being a diva yesterday. :-)

Try explaining this to a bunch of first graders!!! We quickly left the reptile house.

Four very sassy little girls!

This is half of my class. I had two moms go as chaperones and they had the other half. Thank goodness!

Relaxing Weekend

A little mommy bonding time on Sunday afternoon.
AR's newest obession is stinking her tounge out all the time. It cracks us up!

I love this picture! She was having the best time giving him kisses. Melts my heart!

Dad's idea of babysitting! What a mess, but she had a good time and was quiet. :-)

AR posing in her new outfit from "Aunt" Carol. (My mom's best Friend)

This is my sweet dear friend Claire. We have been friends since about the 5th grade. I love her very much. I don't get to see her often, but it always great when we do get to visit! She was in town from Nashville for a quick visit. She is my smartest friend. Seriously, the girl is brilliant, but down to the earth. The best combination. :-) I love this picture of these two beautiful girls.

Splish Splash, I was taking a bath!

AR's bath time has now turned into splash time. She loves her bath! She soaked the counter, floor, and me. (see wet hair and t-shirt) It is a terrible picture, but I wanted you to see how much she splashes now. yes, I took the picture myself. Jim would not participate in the water fun.

Our best friend the pacifer

Ann Rogers will take a paci during the day sometime, but she really wants one a night. Well, actually more than one. I woke up Thursday morning and she had one in her mouth and one in her hand. She likes to switch them out and she will usually entertain herself in the morning playing with them.

Birthday Party

Ann Rogers and I went to Daniel Wilson's 4th birthday party at Pump It Up. Although she was too little to play, she had a great time with her friends Jack and Caroline. Caroline is the birthday boy's little sister. Jack Sellers is her bestest friend even though he is a boy. :-) He and Ann Rogers are 8 weeks apart. We need to borrow some of his hair!

Dinner Date

Ann Rogers had one of boyfriends over for dinner. Charlie's parents are Sammy and Lindsey. Sammy and Jim went to highschool and to Auburn together and Lindsey and I were at Ole Miss at the same time. Both boys were smart and married wonderful Ole Miss girls. :-)
Anyway...Charlie is about to turn 1 and is the cutest thing ever. Such a big boy. AR really loved having him over. She was squealing all night.
Lindsey and I kept saying how much our dinner dates have changed in a year. It was just the adults and now it is a wild time chasing babies! We had a great time.

Happy Birthday Whitney

Today is "Aunt" Whitney's birthday. She is a dear friend and a lot of fun. We hope you have a wonderful day and we look forward to celebrating with you tonight! We love you very much.
This lovely picture was taken at the Strickland's Tacky Christmas Sweater Party. :-) We do not normally look this done up...ha ha!

Bath Time with Cousins

I have been meaning to post this cute picture. AR was taking a bath and Perry wanted to join her. He adores her! Sweet Wade was helping out too.

On the Move

Jim met my parents half way this afternoon to pick up Ann Rogers. We REALLY missed her. We have a blast tonight playing with her. Below are pictures of her watching her video. She starts out sitting nicely and ends up rolling, kicking, and etc... All while keeping her eyes on the video. It was so cute!
P.S. Yes, I am aware that her outfit doesn't really match. It was easy to grab and I knew it was comfy! :-)

Can't wait to see those big blue eyes!

Jim and I went to see my parents for the night this past weekend. They decided to keep AR for a few days since they don't get to see her much. She has been playing with her cousins Perry and Wade. They say she is having a blast!
Now don't get my wrong, Jim and I have enjoyed two nice dinners out this week, but enough already! We are ready for AR to come home.
She will be back this afternoon. I can't wait to see her!
