A Little Snow

After many busted forecasts, we finally got some snow this week! However...it was not much and it was pure snow with no ice. The roads were fine and that meant we would not be out of school! Boo! AR was so sad when she woke up and found out we had to go to school that day. Thankfully my school was delayed two hours, so we played it in for a few minutes before we had to leave. Jim's school didn't have a delay so he missed out on all of the snow. I LOVE SNOW, but can't figure out why I can't catch a big snow. My parents got 4" of snow in MS. No fair! Sigh...maybe one day. If it is not going to snow anymore, then I say...bring on Spring!

She was crying b/c the grass showed when she did her snow angel. She asked me to make more snow. I told her God made the snow. So she then asked God to bring ber more snow. Poor baby!

She looks like a big girl here to me. :-(
She was on a mission with that ponytail swishing!

Don't eat the yellow snow AR! :-)

Mini-Vacation to Gatlinburg

We took a very quick weekend trip to Gatlinburg with The Notos. I have not been since I was kid and hope we can go back when we have more time! The trip started as a get away for Lindsey and I since our husbands went to the BCS National Championship for 4 days. Sammy and Lindsey couldn't find anyone to keep Charlie so we decided to bring the kids with us. I am glad we did! AR loved going on "bacation!" The cabin was her favorite part beside the snow tubing. We didn't get to spend much time in downtown Gatlinburg but we enjoyed our weekend very much!

The entrace to our awesome cabin!

So happy to finally arrive in Gatlinburg!

The game room in our cabin was so much fun. It kept Charlie and AR entertained for hours!

The adults played a intense game of Golden Tee. The losers had to put the kids to bed.

ice skating for the 1st time...she was very brave, but not a fan of it!

Jim trying to ice skate...hilarious!

Warm weather in January = Park

We were lucky enough to have a warm day last Saturday. AR has been begging to go to the park but it is has been too cold this winter. She was beyond excited when I told her we could finally go the park. I worry we might get kicked out one day for hogging the swings though. She will not get out!

Taking a very short break from swinging.

Walking to check out the water at the pond.

For some reason climbing the steps is fun to her...I stayed at the bottom! :-)
