Double the Birthday Fun

Jim, AR, and I went home last weekend for two birthday parties. My newphew turned 3 on Saturday. We also decided to throw my mom a surprise party for her 6oth birthday. We did it a few weeks early so she would truly be surprised. We have tried in the years past to do things to surprise her, but she always finds out! We pulled it off though and had a great turnout. She loved it! AR had a blast at both parties and was wiped out from all the fun.

Happy to be at another party...no cake this time!

This is the best picture we could get of Nannee with her three grandbabies

My sweet Mom! The most kind and caring woman you will ever meet. Everyone says so...it is not just me! :-)

The very last child to get up from the table!

Stuffing her face full of cake

She only stopped eating cake when she had to take a drink.

Birthday boy on the far left. Notice AR is not paying attention because she is still eating cake!

We love our neighboorhood park!

AR and I headed to the park on Sunday. We are lucky to have a WONDERFUL park near the house. It would be walking distance except we mine as well live on a highway our road is so busy! No big deal...we just hop in the car and we are there in a second. She loves the swing and really doesn't want to share with 20 other little kids waiting on it...did I mention this park is very busy! We were able to get the swing a couple of times. The rest of the time was spent up and down the slides and running away from me. We both LOVE the park!

Waiting on the swing. Please notice the hands on her hip. Very impatient!

The hat looks kind of random, but we have yet another ear infection. Too bad she wouldn't keep it on half the time!

17 months old

I meant to blog last week, but just didn't get around to it. AR was 17 months on the 12th. Time is just going by way too fast. She is a little devil and angel all rolled into one. I don't know how something so sweet can pitch such a fit sometimes! :-) However, she is truly the joy of our life and amazes us each day with new tricks and words. She loves to "knock knock" on doors if they are closed and run to her high chair and say "eat eat" We have a little pig on our hands. :-)
These pictures below are from last Friday night. We stayed in and let her run around in her diaper. (Another one of her favorite activities.)

You must hang up the phone before you can brush your teeth!
I think she really just likes the way toothpaste taste.

It looks like she is concentrating so hard on those back teeth.

Saturday Morning Basketball

Ann Rogers and I were in MS this past weekend for a wedding. Luckily Wade had a basketball game Saturday morning so we were able to watch one this year. As you can tell in the pictures below, AR had a ball at the game. She even sat down for a little bit and pretended to watch the game. What a funny girl!

Can you tell that her cousin Perry dressed himself! :-)

Happy Anniversary...#5!!!

Jim and I had our 5th Anniversary two weekends ago. AR went to MS with my parents and we headed to Biloxi to stay at the Beau Rivage. It was a LONG drive, but I am so glad we did it. I had not been to Biloxi in years and the Beau Rivage was wonderful. We had a very nice dinner and fun at the casino....too bad my luck was terrible. I did have good luck though shopping at the stores in the Beau Rivage! Thanks to my hubby for planning such a great trip. It has been the best 5 years ever and I am looking forward many more of years of making memories!
