Disney Live

I never seem to know when the fun stuff is coming to town. I forget sometimes that we live in a fairly big city. There are a few good concerts and shows that make a stop here. Luckily I found about Disney Live and tickets were still available. I called my friend Connie that I teach with and asked if she wanted to take her granddaughter. I am very glad we went.
AR LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! Kelsi-Beth was reserved and enjoyed the show from her seat. Ann Rogers NEVER stopped jumping...especially when Tigger told everyone to bounce with him. She didn't really like the Mickey ears and cotton candy combo. Wish I would known $10 sooner! She also got a light up ball on wand. Pure magic I tell you...highway robbery as well. It cost a small fortune. It was all worth it though. We had a great day...I enjoyed the time with my hyper active and free spirited 2 year old. I will be on the look out for something else fun coming to town!

Catfish Dinner...Yuck!

I am just not crazy about fried catfish. Growing up in the delta should have made me love it but I just don't. However, Jim who grew up in Birmingham with no catfish buffets LOVES it. He even gets it from gas stations...double yuck! We went to eat the last night of spring break at a lovely catfish buffet. I will have to say if I have to eat it, I prefer Larry's Fish House. It is the best. We didn't get to go Larry's this time though. However, I will say this place had good,  great fried egg plant! AR thought the chicken tenders were tasty and of course...the soft serve ice cream. She screams for ice cream ALL THE TIME!!! I usuall wouldn't take my camera to a catfish place, but I had it and we were all there, so why not take pics? :-)

impromptu photo shoot

While we were in MS for Spring Break, Mom and I took AR on a walk. Well we thought we were going walking. She did not want to be in the stroller and kept telling us that she wanted to walk too. So we let her out of the stoller and we spotted this beautiful tree. She kept saying "ooh, look! Pretty flowers." Luckily I had my camera with me. She did some posing for us. I think she has a future as a glamour shots model...head titled to the side and all.

Spring Break

AR, Jim, and I decided to just head to MS for the week instead of planning a trip. I am kind of glad we did because the weather was cold and cloudy for most of the week. We enjoyed visiting family and taking it easy for a change. Jim and I did get away to Biloxi for a couple of nights. It was our delayed anniversary trip. We stayed at the Hard Rock. Good food, good times, but not good luck. :-) AR has enjoyed being in Greenwood without us. She has been to the park with her cousins and spent a lot of time at the beauty shop. It has been a wonderfully relaxing Spring Break. We will be sad when it is over. I love anytime we can spend with family.

Jim in our hotel room. We didn't take any pics so I made him stand there for proof we went! :-)
She always manages to find the make up she is not suppose to have.
Such a pretty cheek color!

MeMaw's Birthday

March 5th was Jim's Mom birthday. (MeMaw) It is a happy day, but a sad one too. It would have been her anniversary as well. (I think it is so neat that they got married on her birthday!) It has not been that long since PawPaw passed away and we wanted to make her birthday a good time with laughter, fun, and friends. We threw her a suprise party with family and close friends. It was a wonderful party and nice to have the house filled with happiness again. We miss you very much PawPaw, but we are taking care of MeMaw for you. Happy Birthday MeMaw...we love you!

Surprise Me Maw!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Grab a hat and read with the cat

My co-workers Kristin and Connie...I work with the BEST people ever.
They make coming to school every day an easy thing, because I get to spend each day with them. Who cares about teaching anyway. :-) Just kidding! We don't look like typical dorky 1st grade teachers do we???
