First Day of "School"

Sweet and wonderful Crystal kept AR at her home for 18 months. We were so blessed to have her and never had to worry about AR once during that time. AR LOVES Crystal and NEVER wanted to leave when I picked her up. Sadly, Crystal is moving to Atlanta this week! We found a Mother's Day Out program for the summer. It is at wonderful little church right down the street from our house and she has completed her first week. She is going 3 days a week. It was a huge adjustment for both of us. She was sad for the first two days, but I think she is getting settled in and will love it soon. She has already made her 1st craft for Father's Day and she has been learning many new songs. One day last week when I dropped her off, she started crying when she saw her room. However, she didn't cling to me, she got down like a big girl and went to sit on the rug. Still crying, she told me bye and waved. My baby is growing up...make it stop...make it slow down!!!

Happy Father's Day

Jim...I hope you can see the same thing I do with Ann Rogers. She absolutely adores you! She follows you everywhere and always wants "my da-dee" There is no doubt it is because you are an amazing Dad. I appreciate all that you do more than you will ever know. I truly feel you go above and beyond your Daddy duties. She is a Daddy's girl and I wouldn't want any other way. I know I will get girl time later in life with her, so now is your time. Happy Father's Day!

Daddy, I love you as much as AR loves Jim. I look forward to our daily conversations. I love sharing Ole Miss with you. I treasure our times we go to the games together and wouldn't want to watch with anyone else. I appreciate all you have done for me growing up and continue to do for me. You will do anything I ask you to do without thinking twice. You have taught me many valuable things in life and you have helped shape me into who I am today. You are such a giving and loving man. I thank God for choosing me to be your daughter. I love you!!!

Charles, Happy Father's Day to you too. We love you. We appreciate your love and support more than we can express. You have allowed Jim to follow his dream of becoming a coach and teacher. He could not be doing this without your help. I know he will make you proud for a long time. You welcomed me into the family from day one and I love the time we spend with y'all. I know you will always take my side on every argument! :-) Thank you for working so hard to provide for your family! You have given us many fun places to build our family memories. Trip to MS

AR and I headed to MS for much anticipated "vacation". I love going home because it is so laid back and of course I have tons of help with her while I am there. We ended up staying almost 9 days!!! Sweet Jim missed us so much that he surprised us on Thursday. I was originally going to head back on Sat., but since he came we stayed through the weekend. AR was really missing her Daddy! When he showed up she wouldn't have anything to do with anyone else. It was all about "my da-dee"
She also loved spending time with her cousins. She can say Wade clearly now and calls Perry, "P". She follows them everywhere! You can see in the pictures below she discovered dirt. We went to watch Wade play baseball and AR hung out with the "big" kids in the dirt. Sometimes she is not much of a girly girl, which is fine with me. :-)

First Haircut

While we were in MS last week, Nannee and I decided to give AR a little haircut. Some of her curls had become a little scraggly. (is that a word???) Nannee just gave her a tiny trim in hopes that it will tame it a little bit! Her hair is starting to look just like mine as a toddler, curls everywhere. They are precious, but I am sure later in life she will own a chi iron like me. :-)

Summer Fun

Here are few pictures from our summer so far. As you can see, we've been outside a lot. She loves any form of playing in the water. I have a feeling I will have many more pictures of the exact same thing this summer. I am very thankful at times like this to be a teacher. It is a wonderful job to have with children.
