Best Friends

I don't think our dog Caddy has gotten any love on this blog. Sorry Caddy! AR is obsessed with her and follows her everywhere. Caddy tries to be really sweet and patient. She has learned to let AR pull on her ears, tails, and paws without moving. Caddy loves all of AR's toys and I find AR going for the bones and balls that are not for her. I guess they love to share with each other. :-) Below is my attempt at getting them together for a picture.

Pools are Not for Swimming!

Silly me...I thought pools were for splashing and playing. Nope, AR thinks they are for crawling out. I would put her back in the middle and out she would go again. I captured her escape in sequence. I actually posted them in the wrong order. Start at the bottom and go up. She is a mess! :-)

Summer Days!

Ann Rogers is only going to Mrs. Crystal part time this summer. The other days are filled with me keeping AR busy and entertained. She is so much fun right now and always on the go! Some days we stay in our PJ's a little longer than normal. These are the times I am very thankful to be a teacher. It is a blessing to spend this time with AR. Now remind me of this thankfulness August 4th when school starts. :-)

I wish you could see more of the cute yellow skirt nannee bought her.
Daddy's shoe provided 30 minutes of entertainment. I am still not sure what was so neat about it.
Can you tell AR is excited that she has the cell phone finally. She is use to hearing no and having it taken away.
Just being her sweet self at lunch with friends the other day.

Lunch with Friends

I am very thankful and blessed to be off for the summer for many reasons. One reason is getting to spend time with my stay at home mom friends. It is very hard to get the babies together at night. We went to lunch yesterday with Ashley, Barkley and their sweet babies. I can't believe Jack is almost one and Claire is getting so big! It was a little bit of a chaotic lunch. I was so unorganized, but it was still a fun time. I love being able to get the kiddos together every now and then. Hats off to stay at home moms, I was wreck trying to clean and get us dressed and out of the door. :-) This was the best picture we could get of the three of them. So cute!

I am officially a dorky mom!

I am a dorky mom now and proud of it. :-) I got a van (Toyota Sienna) and I am soooo excited. Everyone has been making fun of me for wanting one. It is not new, but new enough and I have been wanting one forever. I knew I at least had to have a child to have one. :-) Have you checked out a van lately, they are nicer than I thought on the inside. Watch out for me and my new van on the road! Thanks Emily for introducing me to the life of a van!

Jim and the Girls

Jim, Ann Rogers, and I went to eat Friday night with our friends Shana and Zach. Their sweet little girl Lalah is 2 months old. It is funny b/c they will be in the same grade in school, but right now seems years apart. Lalah and AR are going to be best buddies one day. Lalah is so stylish and will have to give AR tips.

School's Out for the Summer

Last week was my first full week of the summer. We actually got out of school at the end of May, but we went straight into a two week workshop. Ann Rogers and I enjoyed our time off. She didn't go to school either last week. :-) We were able to spend Father's Day with both sides. We ate lunch with the Crowder's and then AR and I went to MS to spend a few days with my family. She started running fever while we were there, so off to Dr. Bolden we went. Thankfully it was just a virus that had to run it's course. I am glad to go ahead and get her on file there, because I am sure she will be sick again one day while we are visiting. Below are just a few random pictures from last week.

Waiting to meet Dr. Bolden

Fun Times with College Friends

We gave an engangement party last weekend for Ashley and Trey. Ashley and I went to Ole Miss together. Our little crew had not been together in a while, so it was so fun to see them. We missed the girls that are pregnant or out of the country! Ashley is getting married in July and Amy and David are getting married in November. We have many more fun times to be together in the next few months. I can't wait! (Sorry for the blurry pictures, I have got to get a better camera.)
Traci, Angela, Me, and DeeSweet Traci!
Jim with Amy...we miss David not being there.

Happy Father's Day Jim!

I just wanted to tell Jim THANK YOU for being such an amazing Dad. Ann Rogers was a Daddy's girl the minute she was born. I love watching them together. She is his little buddy. I have already learned to not be jealous of the father daughter bond they have. :-) Happy Father's Day!
I need to explian this random picture... Every morning Jim shows AR her picture in the hospital the day she was born. He tells her how much he loved her the second she was born and he hugged her tight. She just looks, listens to him and then smiles like she understands exactly what he said.

Happy 9 months Ann Rogers

AR turned 9 months today! We happened to have her doctor's appointment today on the exact 9 month mark. She had two shots today and of course it broke our hearts. She fussed for a minute and has been playing ever since. She is getting to be a little Miss Piggy with her weight gain, but with length I think they measured her wrong. He kept asking who was tall in our family...no one at all! :-)

Weight: 19lbs 12oz (75% percentile)
Length: 29 inches (95% percentile)
Head: 45.7 cm (???)
She got her finger pricked and did not know what to do with the band-aid. When in doubt...it goes in the mouth.
I just wanted to show off her new big girl pj's from old navy. She loves them and her little belly usually sticks out.

It's a Busy Summer Already!

Ann Rogers and Daddy at Sammy Noto's birthday party. She wanted in the water all day. She is our little fish!

This is her new turtle float. She can be in the water and in the shade which makes me happy.

My Nephew Wade getting ready to bat. He loves baseball this year and he is so serious during the game. I can't believe he will be 7 next month!

Ann Rogers and Nannee at the ballpark.

My other nephew Perry literally climbing the fence. He is all boy! :-)
This Ann Rogers with her friend Neal. Neal's Mom Liza and I were roommates when I lived in Nashville.

Happy Birthday Emily!

Today is one of my dear friends birthday. Emily and I grew up together. In high school we always said we would get married, live next door to each other, and have kids together. Well...I messed up the part about living next door. I moved away. :-(
However, we did have babies close together. Her 2nd boy...precious James Hyer. He was supposed to be a week older than Ann Rogers, but he decided to come at 30 weeks! What a little miracle. He is moving right along and getting so big. It will be so fun to watch he and AR grow up.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY! Sorry I can't be there with you. We can have a drink when I come home. I miss you!
