Our family started taking a beach trip with The Alexanders 3 years ago. We don't get to see them a lot through the school year, but we REALLY look forward to our beach trip every year. They have twins who are a year older than AR. This year was really the 1st time AR was old enough to enjoy playing with them. They all played so well together and had so much fun each day playing for hours at the pool. We went to the beach, but actually never saw the beach! Stephanie and I booked this trip before the oil spill and were kind of bummed that we were not staying on the beach. We booked a condo at The Wharf at Orange Beach. It ended up being the best decision we ever made! Since the water was closed b/c of the oil we didn't mind never seeing the beach. The Wharf had an amazing pool. It had a fun kids pool, lazy river, waterfall, and wave pool. We never got bored there. The kids spent all of their time in the kids' pool and loved every minute. The adults would take turns floating down the lazy river. Us girls managed to get a little more time than the guys. We deserved it! :-) There a great restaurants and shops at The Wharf too. I think we only left The Wharf one time the entire trip. Another good friend of mine was down there with her family too. Her daughter came to babysit for us one night so we could have a kid free dinner. I don't think we can ever afford to bring a babysitter with us, but getting one for a couple of hours was wonderful! We are already looking forward to next year. Hopefully travel agent Stephanie can book us another wonderful trip!
